Swatches & Preview: MUA Gel Liners

Gorgeous & Affordable! Can't Really Ask For More...

Guest Post By: Rmyah

With the blogging world abuzz with a mega sale at Make Up Academy,  more popularly known as MUA, everyone has been talking only about MUA. Even the unknowns have recognized this brand and are counting it among their top favourite brands.

MUA is known for its high quality yet affordable range of makeup. And the best part of MUA is the wide variety of things you get, from lipsticks, blushes and eye shadows to even BB creams and nail art.
One such very popular range is their range of gel eye liners. MUA has four gel liners in the most popular and required shades. And their names are very catchy too. They are called Tribe (Turquoise Blue with shimmer), Underground (Dark Grey with shimmer), On move (Chocolate Brown - Matte) and fairground (Black - Matte).

Tribe is a very bright electric blue which suits all Indian skin tones too. It is not too bright that it cannot be worn out here in India. And when used as a highlight with black, complements even better.

Fairground is a dark grey shade which can be used on days when you don’t want a dark black highlight to your eyes. Fairground does not stand out but still creates a very beautiful definition to your eyes.

On Move is a dark chocolate brown. If you are on the search for a brown eyeliner, this is the one to go for.

Underground is our classic black eyeliner.

The MUA gel liners come with their own cute little brushes which are stored in their caps. The brushes are dense bristled and can be used conveniently while travelling or for regular usage.

Here are the hand swatches for the four MUA gel liners

Totally worth the buy and they cost 3 Pounds each…roughly translated into about 250-300 Rupees.
Value for money and quality rolled into one are the MUA Gel Liners.

Samyukta Says: The packaging reminds me of the Revlon Gel Liners... They are exactly the same actually.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
