MAC Face And Body Foundation C5 Review Indian Skin

Review Of MAC Face And Body Foundation In Shade C5...

Every once in a while you come across a product that sweeps you off your feet, makes you feel all special and pampered and as if it was made just for you. You then start feeling as to how had you been surviving all this while without it and why in the whole wide world did you take so long to pick it up... Well that product for me ladies and gentlemen is The MAC Face And Body Foundation. I am an NC 36-38 and I use the shade C5 in it... >>

I really cannot stop gushing about it. It's a boon for beauties with dry skin and for those who love a dewy finish. MAC Face And Body Foundation is a liquid foundation that is little runnier that other liquid foundations I have used. It gives a sheer coverage and hence if you are looking for a good coverage foundation then this isn't for you.

Because of it's sheer coverage it gives a very natural looking finish and hence can be used as a daily wear foundation if you don't mind the high price tag that it carries ;) The foundation comes in a squeezy plastic bottle container that has a nozzle top. Many people complain about the nozzle saying that it makes it difficult to control the amount of product that is dispensed. However, I pooh pooh the claims and say that it has never been an issue for me. It's just a matter of habit and well yeah practice ;)

The staying power of MAC Face And Body Foundation is just amazing. It stays on for than 8 hours very easily. I generally apply it at around 10:00 am in the morning and it is intact when I come home at around 7:00 pm. It withstands the dryness induced by the AC and it also stands solid in the afternoon sun without melting your makeup. However, it doesn't contains SPF making it an amazing product to get yourself photographed in ;)

The foundation is extremely light-weight and it is extremely moisturising. While I have a noticed a little bit of shine by the end of the day but it wont pose an issue for dry skinned divas. However, oily skinned girls may need a little of powdering in the middle of the day for shine control.

I generally apply it with a synthetic bristled foundation brush as opposed to a foundation sponge as I feel that a sponge would absorb more of the product especially since the foundation is in the form of a very runny liquid.

Price Of MAC Face And Body Lotion

It costs INR 1770/- for  50 ml

Oooohhsss And Aaaahhhsss!!!
1. Extremely lightweight.
2. Gives a beautifully natural finish.
3. Stays on for long.
4. Once set, it doesn't transfer.
5. Quite moisturisng.
6. Very easy to apply and hence leaves very little room for error in application.
7. Doesn not contain SPF and hence photographs well.

1. May not suit oily skinned girls and those who need heavy coverage.
2. Is on the expensive side :(

Definitely! It's now my HG foundation and I wear it almost everyday to office :)

It's definitely a must have for dry skinned women who are looking for sheer coverage and a dewy finish. Oilu skinned beauties may want to try it out first and then jump into buying it.

    1. awwwwwww thankoooooozzzzz so much Pari :D ♥♥♥
hmmm combination skin can be tricky na... you could do one thing, since its a liquid foundation, you could ask the SA for a sample... MAC gives samples for liquid foundations cause I have asked for them always... do that and try it out for a couple of days... you'll be able to decide then :)

    2. Its still not launched here in KL :( or else would have got sample long back :) may be after coming back i'll give it a shot..since its low on coverage its perfect for office wear :)

  4. Your face looks equally nice after so many hours.. Wish there was something
    equally nice for oily skin..

    1. i know right!!! you know you could give the foundation a shot but you'll need to powder really well... like I told Pari, ask the SA for a sample... take it home with you, try it out a couple of times... you never know, it may just work for you ;)

  5. I love this foundation! I have oily-combination skin.. But its worked pretty well for me during the winters.. I don't know whether I will be able to use it in the summers too :(

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
