REVIEW: Kryolan Ikonic Gel Liner In Black

Review Of Kryolan Gel Liner Pencil - Black

You know you've hit jackpot when you come across a kajal/liner that is the jettest of black, is creamy, is smudgeproof and well is so pocket friendly that you contemplate buying it for all the women who are even remotely related to you... Yup! I found my dream kajal in the busy streets of Bombay :)

If you've been following my posts this week, you'll know that I got to haul albeit a mini one at Kryolan last Saturday when in Bombay. Now the thing with these gorgeous, exclusive stores is that the moment you enter one of them, you are surrounded by colors, attractive looking products, a little snooty SAs and of course a lot of full length mirrors :P I got blinded by all this jazz as well and just went on swatching eyeshadows after eyeshadows and then lipsticks and blushes and stuff... Then I noticed in one corner, an ubiquitous looking glass beaker containing some pencil liners. I ask the SA "What are these"... She replies "Oh these are our newly launched gel liners in pencil form"... Gel Liners? In Pencil form? Yes I want them... No I don't want to swatch them... I want one of them... I ask the SA nonchalantly "How much are they for?"... She says "200 bucks for black and 180 for the other colors"...

I am speechless...

She swatches a couple of them on my hand and I want them all... But I tell myself to rationalize and be practical and well frugal... So i restrict myself to only three of them... Now do note that my hand is covered in lipstick and eye shadow swatches and now I have liner swatches on my hand as well... So I ask the SA to clean it off... She gives me a cotton ball soaked in their makeup remover and I can see the lippies and shadows disappearing at the first swipes itself... But, the liners remain intact and refuse to budge!

I faint...

When I finally come to my senses, I am at the counter paying for the three liners, a black eye shadow and a refill pan of ultra foundation...

I have been wearing the Kryolan Ikonic Gel Liner Pencils all week, everyday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and they do not smudge, do not budge and remain true to their inherent blackness... I have ladies and gentlemen found my HG kajal :)

Oooohhhsss And Aaaaahhhhsss!!!
1. Once set, it is smudgeproof.
2. Stays on forever even on oily lids
3. The shade is the jettest of black
4. Extremely pocket friendly
5. Doesn't cause any reactions or rashes.
6. Is waterline safe.
7. Very creamy and glides on very smoothly.

Ouches!!!
1. Availability could be an issue especially since Kryolan stores are only present in Bombay, Delhi & Chennai.
2. Since its very creamy and soft, it needs to be sharpened frequently.

Definitely! It is now my HG kajal and I am planning to buy backups of this by the dozen :)

If you like black kajals, then this is for you. If you have oily lids then this is for you. If you like smudgeproof kajals then this this is for you. In short if you wear kajal then this is definitely for you...

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

10 Best Loose Powders Available in India

10 Best Loose Powders Available in IndiaISLM Writer: Sanchita

Summer is going to knock on the door soon and we, who are blessed (or cursed) with oily skin, will crawl back to our powders and/or matte foundations to keep the skin oil-free as far as possible. Being oily skinned, I have always found my way back to loose powders even though their packaging is slightly messy. This is because loose or translucent powders are more finely milled than the compact versions and hence gives you an even look rather than a made-up cakey one. Compact has the tendency to look rough under eyes or around the mouth whereas loose powders work excellently. No wonder, oily skin stays matte for longer duration than it does with the compact ones. Mostly, it gives sheer to buildable coverage and sits on the skin like a natural finish look.
