Review Of Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipstick In Thrilling Pink

Guest Post By: Mrittika

The Colorbar Velvet Matte range has some awesome range of colors. Thrilling pink is one of the beauty amongst them.

What Colorbar Claims:

For a rich lip colour with a creamy shine, the Velvett Matte Lipstick, available in stunning shades infuse the lips with vibrancy. Its unique 2-in-1 formulation gives the lips a creamy, yet matte finish. A one of a kind product in India, it has super softening agents that give the lips a soft and supple appearance while keep them nourished with Vitamin E. Staying on up to 5 hours on application, the Velvett Matte Lipstick can be further accentuated with lip gloss and lip liner.

What I Think About Colorbar Thrilling Pink:

The color thrilling pink is a soft pink mixed with coral. It’s not pink or coral alone, but equal mixture of both. Though on my lips, it looks a bit mauvish pink if layered on. This shade will suit light complexions only.  It’s an excellent spring/summery shade and perfect for day wear. The texture of the lipstick is towards dry. I have to apply lip balm underneath. Two swipes are enough to bring out the true color. But I prefer one swipe with a smoky eye.

The only major problem with this lipstick is staining. Another problem which I face and that too particularly with this shade is that if applied in 2-3 coats, it turns out to be quite bright pink on me after some time.
It easily stays intact for like 3 hours without meal and after that starts fading from the inner corner. It does leave a pinkish stain behind which I am not fond of.

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

10 Best Loose Powders Available in India

10 Best Loose Powders Available in IndiaISLM Writer: Sanchita

Summer is going to knock on the door soon and we, who are blessed (or cursed) with oily skin, will crawl back to our powders and/or matte foundations to keep the skin oil-free as far as possible. Being oily skinned, I have always found my way back to loose powders even though their packaging is slightly messy. This is because loose or translucent powders are more finely milled than the compact versions and hence gives you an even look rather than a made-up cakey one. Compact has the tendency to look rough under eyes or around the mouth whereas loose powders work excellently. No wonder, oily skin stays matte for longer duration than it does with the compact ones. Mostly, it gives sheer to buildable coverage and sits on the skin like a natural finish look.
