Sigma Paris Palette

Preview & Swatches Of The Sigma Paris Palette...

Guest Post By: Rmyah

I’m in Gay Paree… Ewww that sounded so gross. I meant I’m so addicted to Paris. Not the city but the palette. Am I being obtuse or aren’t you able to make it out by now. I’m of courrrrrse( the French way) talking about le Sigma Paris Palette. And what a palette it is oh boy..!!

What Sigma claims about the Paris:

The Limited Edition Paris Makeup Palette includes eight eye shadow colors inspired by landmark monuments and locations in Paris. It also includes two blush colors and one highlight shade, carefully developed to complement all skin tones. The palette comes with two essential brushes for a flawless makeup application.

Sigma Paris Palette

The Paris Palette is a limited edition palette by the beauty brand Sigma.
The Paris palette has been developed in collaboration by seven well known YouTube gurus namely MakeupbyTiffanyD, Petrilude, MacNC40, DulceCandy87, xteeener, frmheadtotoe and xsparkage.

Sigma Paris Palette

Each makeup guru was assigned a landmark monument in Paris to take inspiration from and  develop an eye shadow shade inspired by it. The chosen landmarks were the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Triomphe, the Champs-Elysées, the Palace of Versailles, the D’Orsay Museum, Notre Dame and the Seine River
The shadow names too are derived from the names of these monuments.
The eight eye shadows are (from Left to Right) Eiffel, Seine, Louvre, Orsay, Elysées, Notre Dame, Triomphe, Versailles.
The two blushes are called Rouge and Peche and the highlighter Lumiere.

Sigma Paris Palette

Eiffel is the color developed by Tiffany of MakeupbyTiffanyD. It is a Matte Black base with sparkles in it.
Seine is the color developed by all of the group together. Seine is a deep, satin navy blue truly taking its name from the river.

Louvre is the color developed by Josh of Petrilude. It is a very matte teal blue color. This is probably my most favorite color out of all.
Orsay is the color developed by Suzy of MacNC40. This one is a matte sea green base with a lot of  gold shimmery flecks in it.

Elysées is the color developed by Dulce of DulceCandy87. The color is a satiny burgundy brown shade.
Notre Dame is the color developed by Christine of xteeener. Notre Dame is a beautiful metallic gray-burgundy taupe. The color looks old and gray just like Notre Dame.

Triomphe is the color developed by Jen of frmheadtotoe. triomphe is a duochrome color in the palette. The shade turns out to be a reddened brown with greenish duo tones.
Versailles is the color developed by Leesha of xsparkage. This is the highlight shade in the palette. Versailles is a creamy-gold shade with gold flecks.
Sigma Paris Palette

The blushes were conceptualized by all the gurus together in order to complement all the eye shadow shades in the palette. The two blushes are Rouge which is a Plum pink shade and Peche is a peachy pink shade. I love the Peche sooo much that there is serious danger of me emptying it soon. Both the blushes are matte which I love. Perfect for daytime wear without going OTT.
Sigma Paris Palette

Lumiere is a beautiful light champagne gold highlighter which I hate as it makes my skin look patchy.
The bonus of this palette are the two brushes. These brushes are their regular full size brushes but with shorter handles so as to fit them in the packaging. Sigma included the Large Angled Contour F40 and the Flat shader E55 with the Paris. And this just want me want to jump with joy.

The Paris comes in a box type packaging with a large mirror.  I find the packaging to be too bulky and not travel friendly at all. Sigma could have just compacted the packaging a lot instead of leaving wide spaces between the pans.

Price Of The Sigma Paris Palette:

59$ regular price.  But I’ve seen it at 49$ special price every time I’ve visited their site. You can get a further discount if you use your affiliate ID or others’ special discounts.
Sigma does ship internationally but beware of shipping and customs.

My Rating:
4/5 ( reduced 1 for the hated packaging and overpricing)

Would I go looking for it again: I am undecided. I want the blushes more than the shadows. So I just might.

Overall a fabulous package with such beautiful colors that you would reach for this again and again and again.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
