REVIEW: MAC Eye Shadow In Contrast

Strikingly Different!

I went looking for Nehru and I ended up with Contrast. Does this happen to you too? I mean not exactly with Nehru and Contrast but with random things. Like you go looking for a particular product but it being not available you pick up other products in lieu of it. Of course there is nothing wrong in it, but when you're on a tight budget it totally wreaks havoc #StoryOfMyLife

So anyways, while going through rows and rows of eye shadows there on display, I kept getting attracted towards the blues. But I didn't want to come home with just any blue, I mean yes freshwater is like the obvious favorite and I know I will succumb to its popularity soon but that day I needed something dark and mysterious and something that looks different from what it really is :P So I chose Contrast...

MAC Contrast is a purplish blue eye shadow in a velvet finish. It has a little shimmer that sometimes looks turquoise and sometimes sliver and sometimes even Grey! If I go on describing the eye shadow like this I am sure to confuse the hell out of you... But honestly? I love it! It's perfect for that smokey eyes and for those who do not like doing a black smokey eye. It obviously looks very different on the pan, on the swatch and finally on your eyes... It's like it has these various facets to it's personality that one cannot truly understand the shadow or predict how it will look the next time you wear it... Yup I like to think that it is quite like me ;)

Swatch

LOTD

Oooohhhss And Aaaahhhsss!!!
1. Pretty intense color
2. Decent pigmentation
3. Mysterious and an unpredictable shade
4. Does not cause allergies and irritations.
5. Available in both pan as well as refills (like all MAC eye shadows)
6. Part of the permanent collection
7. Perfect for smokey eye enthusiasts.

Ouches!!!
1. Tad bit expensive
2. Has a little fallout.

Price:
It costs INR 720/- for a refill and 900/- for a pan.

Repurchase?
If I do run out of it, then sure!

Recommendation:
Like  said earlier, if you are a smokey eye enthusiast then it should soon be a part of your palette and if you are a smokey eye enthusiast who likes to stay away from black then this sure is a must have eye shadow for you :)

Overall Rating:
9/10

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!

REVIEW: MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation In NC42

Review of MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation In Shade NC42

Guest Post By: Rmyah

There are days when I just cannot help look at myself through any reflective surface that I can. Be it mirrors, glass doors, rear view mirrors, the back of a spoon and even a pond. And then there are days when I wished everyone was blind, every mirror shattered, the serene water turbulent, anything to avoid me seeing my face. One such day when my skin was going through a blearrrgh phase I decided to put my face on the web and show you how I deal with it. My savior is the MAC studio fix fluid foundation which has been my HG foundation for about three months now.
