REVIEW: FabIndia Silk Protein Nourishing Cream

Post By: Manu

Treat Your Skin To Some Silk Proteins...

At the end of an exhausting, hectic day, what is your skin care regimen? Each of us has their own way to replenish the skin. Talk about my skin? Clean your face with suitable face-wash, apply the nourishing cream and have a good night sleep. Ta-Daaaa!! You wake up next morning with a soft, oh wait, supple and of course rejuvenated skin :)

As Experts say, nourishing cream is “Often described as Night Cream with heavy moisturizer that helps to soften, balance and refine the skin texture. Also help to offset the effects of aging and dehydration”. All my ladies out there, can we please have applause for my latest, much loved nourishing cream – FabIndia Silk Protein
It is the name of this cream that draws the attention; it features Sericin, a silk protein which has advantages in maintaining moisture to avoid dryness, wrinkles and aging. Silk has high anti-oxidant and anti-bacterial activity and also known for preventing sleeping wrinkles (no wonder why Silk sheets are preferred over cotton, of course not forgetting the other obvious reasons too :P)

What FabIndia Claims?
Formulated with Sunflower Oil, Olive Oil, Vitamin E and Sericin, this cream is ideal for nourishing dry, dull skin. Regular application leaves the skin soft and smooth.

Oooohhsss And Aaaahhhhsss!!!
1. Very thick and rich cream, best for dry skin.
2. The aroma is blissful; flowery essence, not at all flamboyant.
3. Extremely helpful for flaky skin.
4. Non-greasy texture.
5. Reduces the under eye wrinkles to a great extent (I have very minimal wrinkles so I can feel the difference, this may depend upon the skin type)
6. Skin appears very healthy and glowing.
7. The tub contains an extra covering to prevent cream spills.

 1. Only one – slightly dry during winters.

It costs INR 150/- for 50 ml.

Whole-heartedly Yes! This is my third container is use

Would I Recommend?
A must try product for dry skin users; oily/normal skin ladies can take a chance during winters ;)

Overall Rating:
9/10  (Dry skin)
8/10 (Normal/Oily skin)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
