REVIEW: FabIndia Lip Butter In Plum Passion

Post By: Manu

Fab(ulous) India...

Anything which is even slightly “pink” always attracts me! And am sure it attracts all my dear ladies J. So, this time while I was looking for a body wash, there was this cute lip butter tub peeping out for being picked! Yes, a very cute little plum passion lip butter from none other than FabIndia!

FabIndia!! For me this place is “Fab(ulous) India”; store which has never ever failed to impress me for what it offers. Graceful Fabrics, Organic Foods, Lavish Home Furnishings, Handcrafted Jewellery and last but not the least Personal Body Care products. Mark my words, they have always raised the expectations bar with launch of every new category and have remarkably sustained!

Coming back to this Lip Butter, I was very excited to apply this one however, wasn’t very sure about its fragrance. Why? Because, a lip butter with Plum fruit did not go well into my head. On a positive side, it comprises of a mixture of essential oils (Castor, Wheat Germ and Olive), absolutely worthy for your skin. Of course, my urge went strong and I ended up buying this little thingy.

Images Of The Product:

Oooohhsss And Aaaahhhhsss!!!
1. Totally moisturizes your lips due to its richness in variety of oils.
2. Works wonders if applied under lipstick.
3. Tasteless.
4. Gives natural pinkish shade when applied as is (it may be a con for a few).
5. Once applied, it lasts for about 3 hours.
6. Packaging is very attractive and beautiful.

Ouches!!! 1. Weird fragrance, which fades away very soon.
2. Contains Paraben – may be harmful to sensitive skin.
3. Does not come in stick, only tubs.

Price
It costs INR 85/- for a 10 gm. tub.

Repurchase?
Apart from the fragrance, it remains my ultimate choice. I would toggle between ‘Fruity Fusion’ and ‘Plum Passion’ :)
.

Would I Recommend?
Yes, of course! If you could ignore the initial smell, that fades away quickly.

Overall Rating:
8/10

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!! 1. Really really stays on forever. 2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear. 3. Friendly to the pocket 4. Faces have become quite easily available now. 5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions. 6. They are waterline safe a…

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
