REVIEW: The Body Shop Perfume Oil In Indian Night Jasmine

You know people are known by the kind of clothes they wear, or the kind of makeup they wear or even the kind of accessories they favor? Come on, we all have our favorite friends who dresses a bit to risque or someone who prefers and always dons really chunky statement jewellery or someone who is only seen with Red Lips :) I personally would love myself to be known by my Ahem! signature scent ;) No no I haven't yet worked out my signature scent (It is a tough task I tell ya!) but I have been successful in zero-ing in on atleast the type of scents I like... Something like everyone has a favorite genre in music, same way everyone of us prefers a kind of fragrance... Some like it fruity, some like it floral, some like it musky, the options one has is endless :)

Which is the kind I like? I prefer my scents to be warm, woody and somewhat spicy... Something Oriental and something that gives a cozy-ish feeling... I absolutely abhor heady and overwhelming smells and hence likes of Nina Ri…

REVIEW: The Nature's Co Mixed Berry Body Lotion

It is always chocolate for me with the exception of Mint Milk Chocolate Chip at Baskin Robbins... I adore chocolate and my dad who is a bigger fan of ice cream loves berries... Raspberries, blueberries, cranberries... You name it... Never understood his fascination for berries until now...

A couple of weeks back The Nature's Co (TNC from here on) sent me a pretty little Christmas hamper with their Berry range of products... The berries range is basically a part of their Foressence range that they claim is inspired by enchanted forests and all the goodness it contains. The products from this range are "Brimming with colourful, exotic ingredients, strong, captivating fragrances and the goodness and variety that only a natural forest can provide".

Being a true blue body butter and body lotion junkie I immediately pounced on the Mixed Berry Body Lotion and have been using it since. The first thing I noticed about the lotion was that it wasn't greasy! It immediately got…

REVIEW & LOTD: Colorbar True Gloss in Vintage Rose

You know the time when you are looking for the perfect HOT Pink lipstick and really cannot find the exact shade that you are looking for? When whichever Pink lippy you pick up is either too pale or too shiny or is just not HOT enough, then ladies it is time to turn your head towards our very own Colorbar ;) I basically remembered to do a review of this particular product when one of my friends' Shamaila, asked me for a dupe for MAC Impassioned... No no this particular shade isn't a dupe for it, it's cousin Radiant Pink is closer but Vintage Rose is one shade that I recommend everyone whoever is looking for a Gorgeously HOT Pink shade :)

This is one shade that flatters all skin tones, it'll be your best buddy irrespective of your complexion ;) The pros that really set it apart from other glosses is that it is extremely pigmented, very opaque, no glitter or frost and seriously stays on for like ever! I apply it in the morning and it is with me till the end of day... aft…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Glam On Cream Blush in Sun Kissed

The Winter sun reminds me of sandy beaches and the blue sea, some trance music and lots and lots of Tequilla shots :D Wait... I think I am talking about the Sunburn Fest in Goa, which unfortunately the pati and I could not make it to :/ So anyways... I am making do with this gorgeous cream blush from Faces and it is transporting me to Sandy Beaches and Clear Blue Waters alright ;) Ladies and Gentlemen, please put your hands together for Faces Glam On Cream Blush in Sun Kissed.

It is a cream blush, which I think is a boon for the Winter months... It is a burnt orange kind of a shade with little golden sparkles that look gorgeous without being OTT... In all honesty, the sparkles are not very visible, leaving behind a slight flush and a glow to your face... The shade of the blush looks gorgeous with Red, Pink and even Nude lippies.

What I really like about the blush is that the first layer is almost sheer and in order to bring in some color you can easily build it up with multiple "…

REVIEW: AuraVedic Ritual Cleansing Ubtan Mask with Sandal & Saffron

Post By: Manu

During my childhood days, I remember how my mother helped me keep my skin perfect and glowing! All thanks to my mother for taking those efforts to prepare this ‘MAGIC’ called ‘UBTAN’ J. She churned sandalwood sticks to get a paste, added a little turmeric, some portion of gram flour powder, a pinch of neem powder and dry fenugreek leaves. Wooow! And there it was! My ‘MAGIC’ to have glowing and healthy skin.
Siiigghhhhh! What do I do now?? We are married, away from our angel mothers, getting busier in lives, who has the time to buy the stuff first and then prepare it? And then the confusion created by ‘n’ number of options out there as a proxy to our mother’s ‘MAGIC’. However, I came across this excellent product ‘Cleansing Ubtan Mask – Sandal Saffron’ and voila! It brought back old childhood memories!

‘Cleansing Ubtan Mask – Sandal Saffron’ is a face mask powder perfect for getting a smooth and glowing skin. This is extremely helpful for a dull skin to regain the flawless,…

REVIEW & LOTD: The Body Shop Eye Shadow in Midnight Blue (42)

Addiction they say is bad... It is the root cause of many an evil but what does one do when they tell you that the product that you are addicted is actually good for you, for your skin, for the environment and even kind to animals? LOL... That's a catch 22 situation isn't it? ;) Yup this happens when you are addicted to TBS :P But you know the strange part, even though I had tried like all kinds of body butters and lotions and shower gels they had to offer, I had never tried out anything from their makeup range barring the lip glosses... Strange isn't it? So this time I made a conscious effort and got myself TBS Eye Shadow in Midnight Blue...

Midnight Blue is a greyish, violet-y blue that looks anything but "midnight-y". It is more like the color of an overcast sky that warns you about a thunderstorm. The description might sound a little grave but on the eyes it looks anything but. It is a gorgeous shade that I think would suit all kinds of skintones... From the…

REVIEW: Cosmedic SaliQ Active Cleanser

Our skin needs extra care during the winters. Due to the harsh weather and my habit of "pampering" my skin by slathering layers and layers of products, at least my skin requires TLC like never before and Cosmedic does come to the rescue. Like I mentioned in my earlier review of the Cerava Quick Relief Therapy Gel , Cosmedic formulated, tested and approved by a team of dermatologists gives you the skin you want. When they contacted me, I had really not heard of them before but I researched on the internet and after trying their products, I am quite hooked! :)

The SaliQ Active Cleanser basically is a face wash containing Salicylic Acid that is known to break down and exfoliate dead skin cells. It is extremely effective for blocked-pore kind of acne and is also anti-inflammatory i.e. it reduces redness and inflamation due to acne. It is also known to reduce pigmentation and discoloration caused due to acne. In short Salicylic Acid is awesome for anyone who has been struggling …

I Wish I Could... I Know I Can...

I wish I could stop crying...
I wish I could stop feeling numb...
I wish I could channel this anger that I feel inside of me towards something that could alleviate her pain...
I wish I could feel safe in my own country...
I wish I could stop the media from calling the rapists as Animals... Cause animals NEVER RAPE
I wish I could stop other cities in India from following Delhi's footsteps towards becoming lost causes.
I wish I could make men understand that rapes are a failure on their manhood.
I wish I could make Chemical Castration a reality for Rapists.
I wish I could make our government take cognizance of how grave the situation has become.
I wish I could make our politicians for once take a stand together against violence against women.
I wish I could really make all this go away and let it only be a bad dream.
I wish I could stop people from blaming a girl for being raped.
I wish I could make people understand that lack of education is the root of all this evil.
I wish I c…

TUTORIAL/READER REQUEST: Simple Wedding Eye Makeup

Yes yes I am doing a tutorial on a very simple wedding eye makeup today. It was requested by Supriya Pawar as she is getting married in a small town... Though I don't know the venue details but I know it's gonna be a bengali wedding and so I am dreaming of the locale to be the exotic Sunderbans with their tropical mangroves and a rustic setting... Oh! It sounds all romantic and adventurous all at the same time :) Isn't it :) Supriya, I wish you a very happy married life ahead :) Now because of the locale she will not be having any access to any MUA and so she has to do her own makeup! For some it's scary but for me who did her own wedding makeup, I say go for it girl! It'll be fun and it'll be something you'll remember forever :D Fret not! It's your wedding and anything you do will be seen with reverence and awe ;) TRUST ME! Unless of course you have some nagging aunts in the family who don't approve of anyone doing anything ;)

So enough of my ramb…

REVIEW: Cosmedic Cerava Quick Relief Therapy Gel

With cold winter winds blowing and dip in the temperature, my skin braces itself for the harsh and dry weather... Inline with my skin's requirements my focus shifts from makeup to skincare every winter and this winter is no different... It is no secret that I have extremely dry skin and come Winter, I slather and almost clog my skin with layers and layers of Olive Oil, Body Butters, Body Lotions and the sundry... Of course my skin fights back to all the "pampering" I shower on it and I keep getting the occasional pimples. Yes! I get pimples in Winters! :/

I have been finding and exploring workarounds to "battle" these bouts of pimples that keep cropping up here and there but had found no permanent solution for it until I received this little wonder from Cosmedic. Now if you are regular with my blog then you'll know a little writeup I had done for them a while ago, but if you are not (Really? You break my heart!), then this is a little refresher link for yo…

NOTD: Faces Matte Nail Paint in Champagne Shower Matte

I am a matte girl... Lippies and nail polishes... And this is the first matte nail polish I have ever worn and I am bowled over :)

Faces Canada has introduced a line of matte nail polishes that are both gorgeous and tempting :D Though they are priced at INR 230/- each, which I find really steep for a nail polish, I still intend getting a couple of more shades...

This shade that I am wearing here is called Champagne Shower Matte...

What do you prefer? Gloss or Matte?
