REVIEW & LOTD: The Body Shop Eye Shadow in Midnight Blue (42)

Addiction they say is bad... It is the root cause of many an evil but what does one do when they tell you that the product that you are addicted is actually good for you, for your skin, for the environment and even kind to animals? LOL... That's a catch 22 situation isn't it? ;) Yup this happens when you are addicted to TBS :P But you know the strange part, even though I had tried like all kinds of body butters and lotions and shower gels they had to offer, I had never tried out anything from their makeup range barring the lip glosses... Strange isn't it? So this time I made a conscious effort and got myself TBS Eye Shadow in Midnight Blue...

Midnight Blue is a greyish, violet-y blue that looks anything but "midnight-y". It is more like the color of an overcast sky that warns you about a thunderstorm. The description might sound a little grave but on the eyes it looks anything but. It is a gorgeous shade that I think would suit all kinds of skintones... From the palest of complexions to the richest Olives... It is a universally flattering shade with a beautifully soft texture...

I wore it last night for a Christmas party and it stayed on for ever without smudging and even creasing. That is like my "touch stone test"... If an eye shadow doesn't crease on my eyes for an evening of partying then it sure is a keeper! :)

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
