REVIEW & LOTD: The Body Shop Lip Treatment Gloss in Beige Sparkle

With my sudden interest in Nude Make-Up, I had to go and get myself a clear lip gloss and well with my TBS membership and my need for a nude gloss coinciding it isn't a coincidence that I got myself a TBS Clear Gloss :) And that is one impulsive purchase that I shall never ever regret! I think this statement says it all and it doesn't need a full fledged review anymore but I shall still continue :P

The gloss is thick but surprisingly not very sticky. It has these really tiny sparkly particles that give this shine to the lips while talking making it almost seem as if my lips were twinkling :) heheheh.. pretty right? :) Plus the gloss does not cause me any sort of irritation like a lot of glosses do and it somehow tend to plump up my peepers without the tingling sensation :) It's almost like magic and I guess it isn't really a shocker that I am totally in love with this lip product! :) And the best part it stays on for like the longest time ever! Even after a cup of tea, some biscuits and fruits it stays put :) Dunno bout the colored counterparts but this clear gloss is a sure winner!

Ignore my dry skin on the hands... Had just washed it and did not apply a moisturiser :P

Oooohhss And Aaaahhhss!!!
1. Love the texture
2. Has these tiny gorgeous sparkles in the gloss
3. Has a yummy "fruit-punch", passion fruit kind of flavor to it!
4. Is not sweet to taste but a tinge of flavored sweetness that is not cheap but very yummy!
5. Comes in a number of shades.
6. Doesn't sting or irritate the lips.
7.Does not result in flaking or drying of the lips :)

1. It might seem a bit expensive but then I assure you it is worth it!

It costs INR 395/- for 6 ml

Considering my love-hate relationships with lip glosses and then seeing how much hooked I am to this gloss I am sure stocking up on them lest they are discontinued :P

Would I Recommend?
If you are finicky bout glosses like I am and hate the sticky and sometimes even runny consistency of some glosses then go for this. Its heavy but not uncomfortable sticky and stays on for like really long :)

Overall Rating:
10/10 (Me giving a gloss 10/10 is like totally out of this world!)

  1. That is gorgeous gloss Suma..looks lovely on you!! :)

    1. thanks Kimi :) and aren't the golden sparkles simply gorgeous? :)

  2. Wow... Looks very nice with the glitters :D

    1. totally agree Lancy :) the beauty of the gloss lies in the sparkles ;)

  3. it looks like a magical lip gloss to me:O

  4. TBS lip glosses are nice. The ones I had I had to throw it away because it got spoilt. Had it for a long time :P. Great review as always ^_^.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.
This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.
