REVIEW & LOTD: Inglot Eye Shadow DS 72

First My Weight Loss Program Update
Peopleeeeeeeee as you all know I have put on a lot weight in the past few months. I used to fluctuate between 48-50 Kgs before getting married, I gained weight during wedding preps (yes i was very happy) and became 52 Kgs and after that my weight has been consistently increasing. When I weighed myself 2 weeks back I was 59 Kgs! Can you even imagine that? So then knowing my body's ridiculous tendency to put on weight and also shed weight with equal ease, I started on my patent diet plan and exercise regimen, I now proudly stand at 54.5 Kgs after 14 days! :) My target you ask... It is 50 Kgs :) In order to keep me motivated I shall be giving you updates of my weight in each post. I know I know many of you wont be interested but then you can just skip this part na ;)Also, if anyone is interested I can share my diet plan and exercise regimen with them :) *high hopes* :P

As you all know I shopped a lot of Inglot in my recent trip to Mumbai. I h…

REVIEW: Purplle.com

For those of you who don't know purplle.com, it is an online shopping portal with its own purpllebox as well. I have not yet received a purplle box but I did have the opportunity to shop at their online store and well I must say I am impressed with the brands that they have. From Vichy to Escada, Estee Lauder to YSL, Zoya to Moschino and Maybelline, Colorbar, Lakme etc :) No they are not paying me to do a review, they just called one fine morning and told me about their website. Told me they were offering all Indian Beauty Bloggers a Rs.100/- off discount on a purchase of Rs.500/- and if I was interested, I could make a purchase and also review their site. Initially, I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy anything but when I checked out their site, I was of course tempted :P heheheheh... Initially I thought of buying some cosmetics, but then I knew there would be a time in future when the blog-o-sphere would be buzzing with purplle.com reviews for cosmetic purchases, so I purchased…

My PINK Lipsticks :)

Ever since I purchased the MUFE Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick in Shade 34, I have been obsessed with it. I wear it everywhere I go and I am totally in love with it :) So in order to see if I have any Pink lippies that might be similar to it, I started swatching my favorite Pink lippies side by side. Once I had swatched all my favorite ones, I realized that I could do a post on it very similar to the one I did for Red lippies... So well this was the inspiration behind this post of mine :)

Disclaimer: I have excluded a few pink lippies, included just my favorites as of now :)

Inglot Shade 66
I have already reviewed this shade here. This shade can be described as a nude natural pink and is extremely flattering for Indian Skintones!

MAC Craving
This has always been my most favorite Pink Lipstick, not only cause the shade is gorgeous but also because the texture and the feel of the lipstick is very comfortable and moisturising. It is a muted pink that is perfect for office and a night out eq…

I Have Been Tagged: Tag-O-Mania [Updated with Answers to Deepika Mohan's Questions]

Indu from indgallovesshopping tagged me and I have been itching to do this post since the past two days now. Finally got a chance :)
P.S. Deepika Mohan of Divassence tagged me too and hence I am answering her questions as well :)

The rules of this tag are as follows:
Rule#1: Put the rules on your blog.
Rule#2: Every person who is tagged in this activity should tell 11 things about themselves, then answer the questions asked by the person who tagged you, then tag 11 other people and ask them 11 different questions.
Rule#3: Let the people whom you tagged know you've done so.
Rule#4: Don't tag anyone who's been tagged before.
Rule#5: Really do tag 11 others, don't go all ''if you want to take this tag''

Mumbai Bloggers Meet and Haul :) [UPDATED WITH MORE PICS]

Hello everyone... Finally I could get some time and could start posting about my Mumbai trip and the Blogger's meet that we had in two installments :) Got home late last night, then went out for dinner with the "pati" and finally when we were home, I was so sapped out of energy that all I could was think of my bed and some sound sleep :) Oohhh looks like the Mumbai trip did tire me out :) So without much ado, let me just start with all the updates :)

Mumbai Blogger's Meet
The Mumbai Blogger's Meet was almost in two parts, one in North Mumbai and the other in South Mumbai... In the North Meet, Jinal, Jyoti, Preetha and I met up at Infinity Mall (Malad) where we shopped from Colorbar and Inglot (as was decided)... Like I told you guys before, we met up like we knew each other since eternity and as if I was back from boarding school in Pune and was meeting all my old friends (there goes my imagination!) :P It was so much fun and we were all at such ease with each ot…

My February Blisscovered Box

I am back from a vacation and I feel as if there is so much pending that I'll need another vacation after I am done with them LOL! My blog posts are pending, cleaning my house is pending, stuffing my fridge with new groceries is pending and well work in office is pending as well :P

Talking about pending posts, I guess it's better late than never and so I am finally and I guess the last person to post about her February Blisscovered Box :P LOL! :D As I already told you all before, these are the products that I received in this month's box:
1. Chambor Stay-On Waterprrof Pencil in Navy Blue
2. H20+Spa Sea Salt Hydrating Body Butter
3. Omved Tired Foot Soak
4. CK Shock One
5. Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 Balancing Softener

The products like I mentioned before didn't really excite me and well for one I would have loved to receive the Chambor Eye Shadow Trio rather than the pencil. But then that's my luck :P The perfume sample, CK SHock One was too strong for me …

Updates from Mumbai :)

Hello yellow to all my friends... Let me first say that i really really miss you all... Sighhhhh.. "yeh dooriyaan" :P LOL... Also, I miss my laptop, which I very "dumbly" left at home in Pune and I miss posting on my blog :( Somehow my camera isn't liking my parent's computer and so it refuses to transfer pictures to it... So the pictures that I took of my Blisscovered Box, of the Mumbai Bloggers Meet and most importantly of my haul cannot be flaunted and I'll need to wait till tomorrow night to post them and share it with you guys... But I'll give you a short description till then :)

Mumbai Blogger's Meet
Four of us met up... Jinal, Preetha, Jyoti and I :) The others gave is "dhokha" :( We met as if we were friends since eternity and as if we meet almost every week! Everyone knew everything about everyone. Awesome isn't it? :) And the best part is we ended buying the same "jhatak" pink lipstick from Inglot... All four of…

LOTD & A POTENTIAL VIDEO TUTORIAL: Classic Red Carpet Look

With so many award ceremonies and Red carpet looks I couldn't help but sigh and wish that I could get not to walk the Red carpet but actually do make-up for some those celebs... Not that I am a pro or anything but then a girl can wish now can't she? :) So rather than squashing my dream and dismissing it to some corner of my brain, I decided to do a red carpet makeup for myself. Now see I do not really do outfit posts, ok sometimes but I am not really cut out to choose a classy outfit, style it and then pose in it. I am just happy doing make-up for a make believe outfit :) And so I have just concentrated on the make-up imagining that I am wearing a pale taupe-gold fitted sheath dress, with its pencil skirt going till just below my knee and a really sexy pair of RED loubs! :D How's that for imagination?

So my make-up to match it is a soft Taupe smokey eyes with my "signature" Red lips :)

Here's the look :)

REVIEW & LOTD: MAC Fluidline in MacroViolet

Now that I have cleaned up my dresser and vanity I keep finding stuff that I had forgotten existed or I had bought and well good for me as I can keep piling on reviews after reviews on my blog :D hehehehe.. *evil grin* And of course you will have to bear with me cause I tend get into a rut where posts are concerned... Either I just keep doing LOTDs and Tutorials or just keep reviewing stuff :P LOL... I am as you all know in the review phase now :)

Continuing with MAC Fluidlines, I shall be reviewing another one in the shade MacroViolet. This one is a deep Purple and not as striking as Midnight Blues on the eyes but pretty none the same. I won't review it in detail here cause I just reviewed MAC Fluidlines already a couple of days back :) So I'll leave you with some pictures to drool over :P

Giveaway partly Closed: 1 Winner Announced

Hello to all beautiful people who read my blog (yeah that was a bit dramatic I agree!)... I would like to announce that given the hotch-potch and the confusion created due to the availability and unavailability of GlossyBoxes, I am partly closing my giveaway. This means that I have chosen the GlossyBox Winner and will be submitting her details to GlossyBox. This time I did not use random.org, but asked the "pati" to pick a number and the name that corresponded to the number was the winner...

So... Ladies and Gentlemen please put your hands together for the GlossyBox Winner...

PARITA SHAH

Do revert back to me by tomorrow Parita @ isimplylovemakeup@gmail.com :)

REVIEW & LOTD: Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Peach

You know when you go out and buy something just because it is being written and talked about so much that if you yourself don't get it then you get a feeling of being left out? Of course you don't require it but you "need" it :P Classic examples? Maybelline BB Cream, MAC Cosmo, MAC Paint Pots and of course Colorbar I-Glide Pencils! For me another one joins the list and that is the range of Revlon Colorburst Lipsticks! Out of the list, Maybelline BB Cream and MAC Paint Pots Passed while MAC Cosmo and I-Glide Pencils Failed :( Colorburst lippies? Let's see :)

I bought my first Revlon Colorburst Lippy on Sunday during the Pune Blogger's Meet. How did I decide on the shade? Well a few days back I was going through other beauty blogs when I came across Sukanya's post about Revlon Colorbusrt Lipstick in Peach and she looked lovely with it :) So I knew this was the shade that was going to inaugurate my buying Revlon Colorburst Lippies :)

But unfortunately, as m…

REVIEW & LOTD: The Body Shop Extra Virgin Mineral Cream Compact in Golden Vanilla

Phew! Thats a long name in the title of the post ;) This perhaps is the most awaited review since a long time but seriously guys I needed to try this foundation out nice and proper before I gave you all an honest and an extensive insight about this product. So then let me start at the beginning...

I do not use a lot of TBS cosmetics, only their solid perfumes and the Tropical Rainforest range of their haircare products. But I still generally go through the various stuff on display to make mental notes and to tally with my previously made mental notes. Weird? Nah! :P So while "aisle" shopping, I saw this foundation and on a whim picked it up... The SA I must say was really good and she was able to tell my shade bang on. I haven't seen anybody so confident and yet so right about someone's skin tone as she was! :D Thats a plus while shopping now isn't it? :)

Once I got this home, I kept it in the "ghar ka mandir" for about an hour praying to God that it s…
