TOOLS REVIEW: Faces Blending Brush 106

Smoky eyes as you all know is my favorite form of eye makeup, so much so that I can actually commit the cardinal sin of pairing it with Red Lips as well. LOL!  In order to achieve smoky eyes of any shade one tool that comes real handy and that cannot be compromised with is a BLENDING BRUSH. Like the name suggests, a blending brush is a brush that is used to blend in or out your eye shadows. I personally use and am in love with Faces Blending Brush no 106. I have been planning and thinking of reviewing this brush since a long time now but I finally gave in when Makeup Chic asked me to review it :)

This brush has been my constant companion for doing smoky eyes and it has never failed me :) The brush consists of fluffy natural bristles that do not shed and retain their shape.

Oooohhss And Aaaahhhhss!!
1. Soft yet sturdy bristles.
2. Retains shape even after multiple washes
3. Does not shed hair.
4. Very pocket friendly as compared to blending brushes from other brands.
5. Performs blending to the Tee!
6. It's really long and I find that very easy to work with.
7. Doesn't scratch my skin.

Ouches!!
I cannot really think of any except for maybe availability. This brush from Faces doesn't seem to available easily.

It costs INR 295/-

Would I Recommend?
Oh yes! Anyone who wants to master the art of smoky eyes needs a blending brush and this one with its quality at such a reasonable price is a steal! :)

  2. U know we always pine for these foreign brands while browsing for good quality cheap brushes and we forget to check what we all have at our disposal..this seems like a great brush which I think is comparable to Sigma and all...even the reviews I read on Vega professional brushes proves to be good enough. Its time we concentrate on the available brands we have here :) Sorry for such a long comment :P

  8. I wish this brush was available in Chennai. I've seen other faces brushes, but never this one. But it's good to know that such reasonably priced, good quality brushes are available in India for those of us who can't afford body shop or MAC.

    2. I am also using baby shampoo currently but still find it very difficult to clean gel liner brushes :( any idea if any cosmetic co has good brush cleanser? i am aware of mac but its kinda expensive so looking for a budget buy

    3. yeah gel liners can be a bit stubborn... what i generally do is that immediately after using the liner brush, i wipe it off with a moisturising baby wipe and then put it in the shampoo solution. that works for me. the key is not to let the gel liner dry on the brush :)

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :) Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;) Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal

I have found out from experience what works for me and I am sharing it with you guys. You are to find out what is right for you and make your own permutations and combination to this regimen of mine depending on your target weight, your lifestyle and all :) Before I start there are a couple of points we need to keep in mind: 1. In order to lose weight one needs to burn more calories than you take in. 2. The human body takes about only 1200 calories to do the routine functions of respiration, digestion etc. 3. Just because you are not taking 3 full meals a day does not mean that you are starving yourself or ar

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener  Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work... Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!
