REVIEW & LOTD: Faces Long Wear Pencil in Navy Blue

While doing the "Meet The Bloggers" feature every Saturday, I have realised (and I am sure that you all have too) that Faces is fast becoming a very popular brand amongst us especially the Faces Long Wear pencils. So much so that a lot of people prefer Faces Long Wear pencils to even Colorbar I-Glides and that ladies and gentlemen is quite a feat for a newly launched brand. So anyways, I got myself a "Navy Blue" from this range and I must say that I am very happy with it. This is my second pencil from Faces after "Turquoise Blue" and well it hasn't failed me either.

This particular shade is a beautiful deep blue that looks stunning on the eye lids.

LOTD

Ooooohss And Aaahhss!!
1. Really really stays on forever.
2. Doesn't smudge on my oily lids even after 8 hours of wear.
3. Friendly to the pocket
4. Faces have become quite easily available now.
5. They do not cause any allergies or reactions.
6. They are waterline safe as well.
7. They glide on smoothly and do not take much time to set.

Ouches!!
I seriously cannot think of any!

Price
It costed me INR 250/-

Repurchase?
Oooh yes! I intend purchasing ALL shades in this range.

Would I Recommend?
Yes yes yes! I would. If you are a fan of Colorbar I-Glides then I suggest you to try this. These are better than I-Glides in their staying power and are 150 bucks cheaper.

Hey wanted to ask if you use any under eye concealer.. I am in desperate need of it.. Also, if you could suggest me any good brand..

      Delete
    7. I myself use Colorbar's Stick concealer which is a spot concealer and is pretty decent.. if u are in need of a more "strong" concealer then Colorbar's pot concealer is really good and also MAC ins unbeatable... If u go to MAC then the SA will tell u which texture and which shade will suit u best... ask her to put it on you and see...
At Colorbar, the SA might not be soo helpful but their "pot" concealers are pretty good too :)

      Delete
  20. i may visit a mac store this weekend.. I also have to find out my mac shade!
I had visited Faces and had asked the SA to help me with picking a concealer, but she shoo'ed me off saying that it would look unnatural on me as only the under eye part would be concealed and it wouldn't match the color of the rest of my face!

  24. i too love faces eyeliners they are smooth n don't irritate my waterline. I find them better than colobar which are costly n too smooth. They dont last on my waterline fr more than 4 hours but I don't mind reapplying. For the price they are the best. I have been using super cheap sharpner for these eyeliners - in fact it sharpens all my colorbar n maybelline pencils also. There are very cheap lip liners and eyeliners available in market (not the malls) for Rs. 10-15 with sharpner in the cap. I think I bought the brand Davis it works fin with all my eyeliners. I hope this helps someone.

Cover The Cover: Harper's Bazaar (India) March 2012

You all know that I love tweaking my blog here and there and making some changes, introducing newer features and well sometimes just hooking the blog onto some social networking site :) Well this time I am introducing a new feature that I promise will be really exciting for all beauty enthusiasts :) To start with this feature is called "Cover The Cover" where I shall be covering the cover pages of our favorite beauty and fashion magazines in terms of make-up. There are times when a certain look on a celeb or a fashion mag just gets to us. Well rather than just mulling over such looks I have decided to give life to such looks (on me) and well do a kind of a faux photo shoot ;) What say? Doesn't it sound like fun? What more? You are all invited to submit your looks with a reference to which magazine and edition you are covering and I'll post it here :)

Today's look is inspired by my latest fav mag Harper's Bazaar. The March edition of Harper's Bazaar is a …

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…
