Purple Smokey eyes Look

Hey people :) I have been totally obsessed with eye make-up off late and all I do is keep experimenting with my eyes... And I am so loving it :D So, today when my boy friend came back from his vacation and we were meeting up for dinner I tried a purple smokey eye look which looks something like this...

The complete Look
He loved it and hence I am sharing it with you guys :)

Eyes Closed

The products that went into are as follows:
  • Oriflame Air Soft Powder
  • maXfactor kajal: Black
  • ELF liquid eye liner
  • ELF brightening eye shadow: Drama
  • Oriflame V* Soul Mates eye shadow: Bonnie and Clyde
  • L'Oreal Color Appeal Trio Pro: Azur Blonde
The steps are something like this...
1. First I prepared my eyes for make-up by dusting some loose powder on my lids. This was to prevent my make-up from creasing.
2. Next, I applied the maXfactor kajal at the outer V of my eye lids.
3. Then using a blending brush I blended out the kajal at the outer edge of my eye and also towards the middle of the eye and also on half my crease.
4. Next taking the darkest shade of shadow int he Oriflame Drama quad I patted it on the smudged kajal.
4. Then I applied the purple shade of shadow from the Bonnie and Clyde duo fromthe inner corner of the to the middle of my eye.
5. I blended the purple and the black shadow together in order to give it a soft look.
6. Then, I took the highlighter shade from the L'Oreal trio and applied it on my brow bone, blending it with the outer edge of my black and purple shadows.
7. Finally, I applied some kajal to my lower waterline and liquid eye liner on my upper lash line.
8. I finished the look with a double coat of mascara on my lashes :)

and VOILA, I was ready with the look :)

  1. loved the purple.... :D
what do u apply as a base so the shadow dsnt crease?? i have oily lids so i face this a lot :(

  2. wow, this is great. i think u love smokey look like me. a little suggestion, u could hav done this in more detail just as u did at IMBB. and suma, plz plz do a review of ur oriflame soulmate eyeshadows. i wanna buy them bt a review would help me to take the correct decision. i dont wanna waste my money:-(

  3. @EvE-O-LUTION: Hey! Thank you for liking the look :) Even I have extremely Oily lids... so essentially i should be using a Eye shadow primer like UD or something, but they aren't very easily available here, so i use Oriflame's Air Soft Powder.. dust it over my lids and then put eye make-up.. it holds for 4-5 hours :D

  4. @BULBUL: Am glad you liked my smokey-look and yeah sure i'll post pic by pic steps... :) I'll do it in a diff color this time :)

  5. @BULBUL: sorry forgot to answer this... yup i'll surely do a review on Oriflame Visions Eye shadows :) but you can take my word for it.. they are really good :) highly pigmented!

  6. Beautiful look ♥ I love your eyebrows! Lol.

REVIEW: Johnson's Baby Lotion on Adult Skin

I am itching to do some makeup EOTDs and LOTDs since a while now but with guests at home I am not getting any time... So for a while you guys are stuck with me doing reviews. Not that my reviews do not need much efforts but as compared to EOTDs and LOTDs, reviews are a little bit less demanding where time constraints are concerned... Don't you agree? :)

Today I shall be reviewing the Johnson's baby lotion and before you raise your eye brows and say to yourself "WTF" let me make it absolutely clear that I bought it when I was out of a moisturiser and needed one pronto! This was the only one available and so I just bought it. I figured if it was good for babies, how could it be bad for me? The truth? Read on ;)

Johnson's Baby Lotion is Clinically proven to be mild and mild it sure is. It has a soft and soothing fragrance, which I love. Once applied it gets absorbed really fast and does not leave a residual oiliness or greasiness. It would be perfect for normal ski…

REVIEW: MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation In NC42

Review of MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation In Shade NC42

Guest Post By: Rmyah

There are days when I just cannot help look at myself through any reflective surface that I can. Be it mirrors, glass doors, rear view mirrors, the back of a spoon and even a pond. And then there are days when I wished everyone was blind, every mirror shattered, the serene water turbulent, anything to avoid me seeing my face. One such day when my skin was going through a blearrrgh phase I decided to put my face on the web and show you how I deal with it. My savior is the MAC studio fix fluid foundation which has been my HG foundation for about three months now.

Makeup Class: Difference Between A Bronzer, A Highlighter, An Illuminator & A Brightener

Bronzer Vs Highlighter Vs Illuminator Vs Brightener

Very often than not being a beauty blogger I come across the terms Bronzer, Highlighter, Brightener and Illuminator at least a dozen times a day. These terms are everywhere and people use them in their daily conversation with so much confidence that you'd be surprised at how wrong many of them are in their usages. Oh! Yes even I have made mistakes in the past about their connotations and today armed with research, experiments and well just plain analysis I have reached a consensus where I can now confidently put forth the results of my hard work...

Yes, today ladies and gentlemen, I shall be clearing all the confusion that prevails behind Bronzers, Highlighters, Illuminators and Brighteners!
